Activist Durga Prasai Alleges 'Deep State' Influence, Claims Western Powers Using Figures Like Balen Shah and Ravi Lamichhane

Durga Prasai, a medical entrepreneur and coordinator of the National, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Protection Grand Campaign, has seriously alleged that new political forces have emerged based on the foundation of a 'deep state' in the country.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Prasai labeled Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Ravi Lamichhane, and Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa as agents of Western powers, claiming a plot is underway to turn Nepal into Ukraine. He also called on his supporters to defy any prohibitory orders on Falgun 1 and go to the airport to welcome former King Gyanendra.

During the press conference, Prasai showed various video clips, asserting that there is blatant interference by the 'National Endowment for Democracy' (NED) and Western powers in Nepal. He accused educated elites who consider themselves superior in Nepal of being accomplices to this 'deep state'. The videos and statements released by Prasai claimed that figures like Balen Shah are being mobilized with foreign funding, and they are misleading public opinion by capturing social media algorithms in Nepal.

Prasai claimed that Western entities have been investing in establishing the 'Free Tibet' agenda in Nepal since 2013 and 2014. He alleged that a strategy is being formulated to use the new political parties and figures to install a new Dalai Lama in Nepal's Himalayan region and use Nepal against China.

He stated, 'The current Gen Z movement and the incidents of setting fire to Singha Durbar and the Supreme Court are part of this plan. Leaders like Balen and Ravi, who devise plans behind closed doors, should be held equally accountable and punished as those who set fire to the streets.'

Prasai argued that everything from Dr. Govinda KC's hunger strikes to the rise of Bibeksheel Sajha was part of a 13-year-old master plan by Western forces. He alleged that the model used to make Zelensky a 'hero' through social media and push Ukraine into war is the same model being used to promote Balen and Ravi in Nepal.

Prasai asserted that the monarchy is the only alternative left to save the existence of the nation and appealed for people to flock to Tribhuvan International Airport on Falgun 1 to welcome King Gyanendra. He warned that they would break through any restricted zones imposed by the Kathmandu administration.

Challenging the administration and police chiefs, he said, 'Who has the authority to prohibit the King's arrival? If you have the guts, try handcuffing the King. If anything untoward happens, tomorrow we will surround Nirmal Niwas and bring the King to Narayanhiti to place him on the throne.'

He stated that he is ready to go to jail multiple times but will not stand as a witness to the game of destroying the country. He also advised King Gyanendra to stop being afraid and move forward with courage as the people have called for him.

Oli-Prachanda Called Upon to Accept 'Hindu Nation'

During his address, Prasai urged leaders of the old parties, KP Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', to mend their ways. He said, 'If KP Oli comes forward accepting the Vedic Sanatan Hindu Nation and the monarchy, we are ready to take them along with us.'

He commented that while the communists might be nationalist, they made a mistake by attacking the head of the King. He stated that as the country is in difficulty, those who uphold the King, the nation, and religion must stand together now.

Prasai stated that the current system and any elections held by the government are meaningless. He claimed that 90 percent of the people do not want elections, asserting that this election is merely a ploy to seize power at the behest of foreigners.

'This is not an election; this is a game to hand the country over to foreigners. Therefore, we will not allow the election to happen,' he said. He claimed his movement has reduced bank interest rates from 16 percent to 6 percent and urged traders and the general public to support his agitation.
