Jawalakhel Youth Club Secures Victory in Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup Opener

Pokhara. Jawalakhel Youth Club has made a winning start in the Aaha Rara Pokhara Gold Cup currently underway in Pokhara. Jawalakhel registered a victory by defeating Machhindra Football Club by a score of 2-0 in the competition held at the Pokhara Stadium on Wednesday.

Jawalakhel took the lead in the 54th minute with a goal from Nicholas Hamilton and doubled the score in the 64th minute with a goal from Boubacar Cissokho. Jawalakhel maintained pressure throughout the match, which ended in a goalless draw in the first half.

A total of 12 teams, including three from abroad and nine from Nepal, are participating in the competition organized by Sahara Club, which will run until Falgun 9. The champion team of the tournament will receive 1.401 million rupees, and the runner-up will receive 701,000 rupees.
