Nepal Stock Exchange Index Sees Minor Dip Amidst Active Trading

Kathmandu. Today, on a trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index saw a slight decline. The NEPSE index stopped at 2662.09 points after falling by 0.04 points today.

Today, shares of a total of 329 companies were traded, amounting to 2 crore 22 lakh 82 thousand shares, with a total transaction value of NPR 8 billion 69 crore 25 lakh 50 thousand. Amidst market fluctuations, the share prices of 113 companies increased, while the prices of 133 companies decreased. The prices of 13 companies remained stable.

Hydropower sector companies were the top gainers today. The share price of Ridi Power Company increased the most by 9.67 percent. Similarly, the price of Singati Hydro Energy increased by 8.68 percent, and the price of Aakhukhola Hydropower Company increased by 7.21 percent.

Ridi Power Company also ranked first in terms of transaction volume today. Shares worth NPR 65 crore 47 lakh of this company were traded. Likewise, shares worth NPR 62 crore 13 lakh of Aakhukhola Hydropower and NPR 58 crore 76 lakh of Singati Hydro were bought and sold.
