Foundation Honors Outstanding Female Health Volunteers and Students in Khotang

Khotang. The Kanakakumari Pokharel Memorial Foundation has awarded six outstanding female health volunteers and four outstanding female students from Rawabesi Rural Municipality with cash prizes.

The recipients were each given NPR 7,000 from a permanent fund of NPR 700,000 established in memory of the late Kanakakumari Pokharel, mother of former Minister of Education, Science and Technology Girirajmani Pokharel, and her elder brother, Doramani Pokharel.

At a program held here on Tuesday, Samjhana Thapamagar, Indra Pariyar, Lankamaya Magar, Shivakumari Pandey, Pramila Thapamagar, and Nirmala Shrestha were presented with the Outstanding Female Health Volunteer Award.

Similarly, Nabina Magar studying in Grade 11 and Lalita Shrestha, Goma Tamang, and Gita Bishankhe from Grade 12 at Sharada Higher Secondary School in Kharpa were awarded for achieving the highest marks in their previous examinations.
