One Killed, Three Injured in Bolero Jeep Accident in Salyan

Surkhet. One person has died in a Bolero jeep accident in Salyan. The deceased has been identified by Salyan Police as 30-year-old Bijay Bishwakarma, the jeep driver from Amlachaur, Sisne Rural Municipality-4, Rukum East. He died on the spot.

Similarly, 3 people were injured in the accident. The injured include 22-year-old Sushmi Roka, her 2-year-old daughter Safalta KC, both from Sisne Rural Municipality-2, Rukum East, and 38-year-old Lalita KC from Ward No. 4.

According to the District Police Office, Salyan, the Bolero pickup jeep with registration number Ga 1 Ja 5661, traveling from Rukum East towards Dang, met with an accident at Chhore Khola in Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 around 5:30 AM on Wednesday.

Police stated that the jeep, which was traveling on the Rapti Highway, lost control and fell about 400 meters down from the road.

Immediately following the accident, a team dispatched from the Kapurkot Police Post rescued the injured and sent them to the local Kapurkot Health Post for treatment. After primary treatment there, all the injured were referred to the Provincial Hospital in Tulsipur, Dang around 8 AM for further treatment, the police informed.
