Divers Deployed in Rescue Efforts After Bus Plunges into Tamakoshi River in Ramechhap

Kathmandu. Divers from the Armed Police Force have been deployed at the site of the passenger bus accident in Seleghat, Ramechhap, for rescue operations.

Ten divers from the Disaster Management Base Khurkot, Sindhuli, have been mobilized to the accident site, Armed Police Force Deputy Spokesperson (DSP) Shailendra Thapa told Ratopati.

The passenger bus with registration number Province-3-01-005 Kha 9975, traveling from Kathmandu to Okhaldhunga on Tuesday, fell into the Tamakoshi River. So far, six people have died in the accident that occurred at Seleghat in Manthali Municipality. The deceased include two men and four women. Police have rescued five injured individuals and sent them to the community hospital in Khurkot.

A team led by Ramechhap DSP Bhola Bhatta is currently stationed at the accident site.
