18-Month-Old Boy Drowns in Drain Water in Kailali, Nepal

Kailali. An infant has died after drowning in a drain in Kailali. An 18-month-old boy died after falling into stagnant water accumulated in a drain in Charra, Bhajani Municipality-7.

Aman Kathariya, the son of local Bipat Ram Kathariya, fell into the stagnant water in a nearby drain on Monday evening while playing in the courtyard of his house.

The police stated that the boy, who was seriously injured after falling into the drain, was taken to the Bhajani Primary Health Center for treatment. He died during the course of treatment.

Police informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
