Kaski Authorities Intensify Monitoring of Polling Stations Ahead of Federal Elections

Gandaki. Monitoring of polling stations is underway in Kaski, targeting the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Regular monitoring is being conducted by the Chief Election Officer along with officials from the District Security Committee.

Chitrangat Baral, Assistant Chief District Officer of Kaski, stated that polling stations deemed highly sensitive and sensitive from a security perspective have been monitored. During the monitoring, he informed that the situation at the polling stations is being assessed in consultation with local representatives, school principals/vice-principals, and local leaders, focusing on the implementation of the code of conduct, physical infrastructure, electricity, water, and other facilities through on-site study.

Assistant CDO Baral mentioned that coordination is being made with the relevant bodies for further improvement and maintenance after inspecting security arrangements, road access conditions, etc. Efforts are being made to repair and improve roads to ensure smooth movement for voters.

A security strategy has also been prepared in the district to conduct the elections in a clean and fear-free environment. A total of two thousand security personnel from the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police will be deployed for election security in Kaski. Furthermore, it has been reported that two thousand three hundred three election police personnel will be mobilized.
