Lalitpur Metropolitan City Plans to Beautify Bhainsepati Road with Flower Planting

Lalitpur. Until a few years ago, the road from Nakkhu hill to Bhainsepati was tiresome for travelers due to dust and smoke. Following the paving of the road which eliminated the dust problem, the Lalitpur Metropolitan City has put forward a plan to plant flowers in the area.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City has previously enhanced the beauty of the Pulchowk road section by planting various species of flowers. According to the Metropolis, the plan is to expand this concept to plant flowers on other suitable road sections, including Bhainsepati. The Metropolis stated that the work of planting flowers in the Bhainsepati area will begin within a few days.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan stated that the campaign to make the city's roads green and attractive is continuous. He said, "Road sections like Kumaripati and Jawalakhel are narrow, making it difficult to plant flowers in the median strip, but planting will be done wherever possible."

Local residents say that the overall beauty of the Bhainsepati area is increasing following the construction of ministerial residences. Local resident Bishwas Thapa believes the area will become even more attractive if flowers are planted on the Nakkhu hill slope. Recalling the past, he said, "A few years ago, it was very difficult to walk up the Nakkhu slope. The flying dust affected the general public, children, and all travelers."

Currently, with the road paved, vehicle movement has become smooth, and the situation of being stuck in long traffic jams as before has been eliminated. Local residents express confidence that the road beautification plan will make the Bhainsepati area more organized and attractive.
