Woman Dies After Bone Gets Stuck in Throat While Eating During Lhosar Festival Feast

Nuwakot. A woman has died in Gosryang, Tarkeshwor Rural Municipality-5 of the district after a bone got stuck in her throat while eating meat during a feast. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bikram Lama of the District Police Office informed that 41-year-old Gangamaya Tamang died today at Trishuli Hospital during treatment after a bone got stuck in her throat.

According to him, Tamang, who was visiting relatives' homes to celebrate the Lhosar festival, had a bone stuck in her throat while eating chicken meat with food during the feast on Saturday. DSP Lama stated that she died during treatment after being rushed to the hospital immediately following the incident.

Tamang, who currently resides in Swayambhu, Kathmandu, had only arrived at her sister's house in Tarkeshwor-5 Gosryang this Friday to celebrate the Lhosar festival.
