U-15 PABSON Cricket League Trophy Unveiled in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The trophy for the U-15 PABSON Cricket League (PCL), organized by PABSON Kathmandu, was unveiled in a program on Sunday. PABSON Central Chairman Krishna Prasad Adhikari unveiled the trophy during a special ceremony held at Smart Hotel in Dhumbarahi. On the same occasion, the names, logos, sponsors, jerseys, and the official anthem of the eight participating teams were also revealed.

A total of 8 teams, including the organizing PABSON Kathmandu and PABSON teams from seven provinces, will compete in the tournament starting on Magh 28 at the Lower Mulpani Cricket Ground. PABSON Kathmandu Capitals, Sudurpaschim Rising, Bagmati Challengers, Gandaki Eagles, Karnali Highlanders, Koshi Strikers, Lumbini Moongs, and Madhesh Royals will play in two groups under a league-cum-knockout format. The final match of this T-20 format tournament is scheduled for Falgun 6.

Unveiling the trophy, Central Chairman Adhikari stated that this age-group tournament would greatly assist in identifying new and talented players. He also announced financial support of 5 lakh rupees from Central PABSON and 1 lakh rupees from Valley Public School for the tournament. Furthermore, PABSON Kathmandu Chairman Navaraj Bhatta shared plans to select the best players from this league to form a 'Dream Team' and provide them opportunities on national and international platforms.

The winner of this tournament, managed by Angels Sports Academy, will receive a cash prize of 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees, and the runner-up will receive 75 thousand rupees. Individual awards include 10 thousand rupees for the best player, and 5 thousand rupees each for the best batsman and best bowler. The organizer announced that the 'Player of the Match' in every game will receive a cash prize of 2 thousand rupees.
