Sunny Deol's 'Border 2' Maintains Strong Box Office Run, Surpasses Major Blockbusters

Mumbai. The multi-starrer film 'Border 2' starring Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has maintained its strong hold at the box office. Even as the film enters its third week of release, a significant increase in its earnings has been observed.

The film, which earned 2.85 crore on Friday, made an encouraging comeback by collecting 4.25 crore Indian Rupees on Saturday. After Saturday's earnings, 'Border 2' has crossed the mark of 385.58 crore in the Indian box office alone. In the global market, it has earned 440 crore Rupees in 16 days, earning the tag of the most successful film of 2026 so far.

In this sequence, the film has surpassed the lifetime records of Bollywood blockbusters like 'Saiyaara' (337 crore), 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' (320 crore), and 'Sultan' (300 crore). It has now reached the 13th position in the list of highest-grossing films in India.

Other films released this year, Rani Mukerji's 'Mardaani 3' and Dharmendra's 'Ekkees', could not perform well at the box office. 'Border 2' has left 'Mardaani 3', which was limited to 32 crore, far behind.

However, it is estimated that the earning pace of 'Border 2' might slow down as Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri's 'O Romeo' is scheduled for release on February 13.
