Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa Urges Spreading Message of Party's Transformation to Every Household

Kathmandu, February 7: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that the message of the Congress having changed must reach every household. Addressing a gathering of members organized by the Nepali Congress Kathmandu Constituency No. 6 here today, he emphasized the need to convey the message that the Congress has transformed according to the spirit and sentiment of the 'Gen Z' movement.

President Thapa expressed the view that the Congress learned lessons from the agitation of Bhadra 23 and 24 and has now corrected itself, adding that the message of the party being engaged in the campaign to change the country must reach every village and household. "The message that the Congress has changed has not reached the grassroots; this message must reach every home. We must reach out to the 2.7 million voters who voted for the Congress in the last election," he said. He stated that after the convention, the Congress emerged as the newest party.

President Thapa mentioned that the Congress elected a new leadership through a special general convention to internalize the spirit and sentiment of the 'Gen Z' movement. He noted that the special general convention was a victory for the party, not for any individual winner or loser. "The Congress is the force that can unite not just all factions but the entire nation. The Congress will move forward strongly to stop the culture of power-sharing and corruption seen in the country," he stated.

At the program, Congress General Secretary Pradeep Poudel stated that the party would win the trust of the citizens because both policy and leadership have been corrected according to the expectations of the citizens. He mentioned that the agitation of Bhadra 23 and 24 served as a caution for them as well, and the party has entered the elections through the modification and transformation desired by the citizens after admitting its shortcomings.

General Secretary Poudel stated that although the Congress is old based on birth, no other party is as new as the Congress in terms of ideology. He said the party is moving forward in a new way according to the desires of society. He mentioned that the Congress has brought the leadership desired by the people, and that leadership is determined to change the country.

Congress Kathmandu Constituency No. 5 President and Provincial Assembly Member Shyam Bahadur Khadka emphasized the need to vote for the party's candidates for the development of Kathmandu Constituency No. 5. He mentioned that the party, coming with new leadership, will develop the country.

A 501-member publicity committee was formed during the program for election mobilization in Kathmandu Constituency No. 5.
