Veteran Nepali Actor Sunil Thapa to Be Cremated Today at Pashupati Aryaghat

Kathmandu. The cremation of the late veteran artist Sunil Thapa will take place today at Pashupati Aryaghat. His cremation at Pashupati Aryaghat will occur immediately after his family arrives from Mumbai.

Artist association member Gopal Dhakal informed that his mortal remains will be kept for paying last respects before that. Thapa passed away this morning at Norkik Hospital in Thapathali due to a heart attack.

Thapa, who resided in an apartment in Shankhamul, was active in the Nepali and Indian film industries for a long time. Thapa, who succeeded in bringing fame and respect to the role of 'villain' in Nepali cinema on par with heroes, was popularly known as 'Rate Kaila'.

Other members of his family reside in Mumbai, India.
