Western Winds Bring Partial Impact Across Nepal, Fog Lingers in Terai

Kathmandu, 24 Magh: Currently, Nepal is experiencing a partial influence of the Western wind system. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has stated that fog is present in some parts of the Terai region, while partial cloud cover is observed in the Himalayan and high hilly areas, including the Koshi Province.

According to the DHM, fog/mist will persist in some parts of the Terai region this afternoon. Koshi and Gandaki Provinces' high hilly and Himalayan regions will generally have cloud cover, with partial cloudiness elsewhere. The DHM also indicated a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, fog will remain in a few locations in the Terai region. The DHM reported that the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces will have partial cloud cover, while the weather in the remaining areas will be mostly clear. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two locations in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi and Gandaki Provinces.
