Lawmaker Objects to Government Selling Burned Vehicles from Madhes Movement as Scrap

Kathmandu. CPN-UML National Assembly member Rukmini Koirala has objected to the government's plan to sell the government vehicles burned during the Madhes movement in Bhadra as scrap. Speaking at the National Assembly meeting on Friday, lawmaker Koirala stated that the burned vehicles should be kept on display, even if just to show future generations.

'I have heard that the government is selling the government vehicles burned during the movement to scrap dealers. However, the skeletal remains of the burned vehicles should be kept intact in one place to be shown to future generations as history, and they should be put on display across the country through a ticket system,' Koirala stated.
