Hetauda Inland Revenue Office Collects Over NPR 800 Million in Revenue Last Month

Makwanpur. The Inland Revenue Office in Hetauda collected NPR 800.899 million in revenue last month.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, it has collected NPR 3.279232 billion in revenue. This is NPR 88.610 million more than the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Similarly, in the first six months of the current fiscal year, the office reported collecting NPR 1.886487 billion from Excise Duty, NPR 593.271 million from Income Tax, NPR 467.130 million from Value Added Tax, NPR 277.302 million from Health Risk Tax, NPR 36.947 million from Interest Tax, and NPR 8.126 million from Rental Tax.

In the same period last fiscal year, NPR 3.190622 billion in revenue was collected.

The office has registered 33,596 taxpayers for Income Tax, 5,849 for VAT, 1,598 for Excise Duty, 711 for Withholding Tax, and 81,812 for Personal Tax.

Office Chief Yukta Prasad Subedi stated that an arrears recovery campaign, which included visiting the homes of taxpayers reluctant to file taxes, contacting them via telephone and SMS, and publicizing tax exemption facilities, resulted in the collection of NPR 100 million in outstanding dues.
