Nepal Telecom Employees Stage Silent Protest During Anniversary Event

Kathmandu. Employees of Nepal Telecom staged a silent protest during the company's anniversary celebration. All three employee unions affiliated with Nepal Telecom protested during the telecom's 22nd anniversary on Thursday.

They protested holding a banner inscribed with, "We are in injustice, our voice for justice." The employees were protesting to demand the amendment of the employee regulations to establish career development provisions.

Employees complained that due to the lack of amendment in the regulations, they have been stuck in the same position for 13-14 years.
