Newly Appointed Sri Lankan Ambassador Pays Courtesy Call on Prime Minister Karki

Kathmandu. Sri Lanka's newly appointed Ambassador to Nepal, Ruwanthi Delpitiya, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The courtesy meeting with Prime Minister Karki took place on Wednesday at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations and mutual interests between Nepal and Sri Lanka. Prime Minister Karki congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished her success in her tenure.

Ambassador Delpitiya recently assumed her post in Nepal. She previously served as the Director General of the East Asia and International Security Cooperation Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka and as the Deputy High Commissioner in Bangladesh. This meeting is expected to further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries.
