India Dominates Bhutan with 8-0 Victory in SAFF U-19 Women's Championship in Pokhara

Kaski. In the first match of the ongoing SAFF U-19 Women's Championship football tournament in Pokhara today, India defeated Bhutan by a massive margin of 8-0.

In the match held at the International Football Stadium at Pokhara Stadium, India managed to score seven goals in the first half and one in the second half while registering an impressive victory. India's Pearl Fernandes scored a hat-trick in the match. She scored goals in the 6th, 39th, and 41st minutes of the game. Similarly, Pratika Barman scored in the 25th and 90th minutes. Elisha Limdoz, Avista, and Divyani Linda scored one goal each.

With this huge win over Bhutan, India has strengthened its chances of reaching the final. With India's impressive victory, Nepal's chances of reaching the final have become difficult. India, having won two matches, now has six points, the same as Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh has one match remaining. The home team Nepal is in third place with three points.

The next match of the league stage will be between Nepal and Bangladesh. The result of this match will determine the teams playing in the final. Nepal has no option but to defeat Bangladesh by a large margin to enter the final. The final match between the top two teams in the tournament standings will be held on Magh 24.
