Harka Sampang Contests Parliamentary Election in Sunsari-1 After Resigning as Dharan Mayor

Harka Sampang, who resigned from the post of Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City to embark on a journey to parliament through the general election, is contesting as a candidate from Sunsari Constituency Number 1.

There are 26 candidates, including Sampang, in this constituency which encompasses all areas of the Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City.

Candidates include Tikaram Limbu from CPN-UML, Sujendra Tamang from Nepali Congress, Suryabahadur Bhattarai from Communist Party of Nepal, Goma Tamang from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Uddhav Shrestha from RPP, Sanjay Rai from Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, and Mahesh Shrestha from Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party.

Similarly, Rajendra Gurung from Mongol National Organization, Naresh Bik from United Citizen Party, Yam Bahadur Limbu from Nepal Janamukti Party, Rajkumar Limbu from Federal Democratic National Forum, Rajkumar Rai from Nepali Janashramdan Sanskriti Party, Bhupi Rai from Rastriya Sajha Party, Raksha Kumar Rai from Miteri Party Nepal, Din Bahadur Bastola from Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), Dambar Lawati from Ujyalo Nepal Party, Nagendr Bahadur Limbu from Janata Samajbadi Party, and Ram Bahadur Bista from Aam Janata Party are candidates.

Deuman Limbu, Jivankala Rai, Subash Bishwakarma, Sumit Rai, Chet Bahadur Rai, Omkrishna Udas, and Shesh Prasad Regmi have filed independent candidacies in this constituency.
