Bollywood Actor Rajpal Yadav Ordered to Surrender Immediately in Cheque Bounce Case by Delhi High Court

New Delhi. Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has run into trouble after repeatedly violating court deadlines in a cheque bounce case. The Delhi High Court has directed him to surrender immediately in a case related to cheque bounce. The court took this strict step because he repeatedly missed the payment deadlines set by the court and failed to fulfill his promises.

This dispute is related to a cheque bounce case registered under Section 138 of the 'Negotiable Instruments Act'. A company had filed a complaint against Rajpal Yadav and his wife for non-payment via cheque. Initially, he was sentenced to 6 months in jail, but later the High Court suspended the sentence on the condition that the amount would be paid through mutual understanding.

According to news agency ANI, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma expressed strong dissatisfaction with Rajpal's conduct during the hearing. The court noted in its order that since he could not make the payment despite repeated extensions and opportunities for settlement, he could no longer be trusted.

Justice Sharma clarified that the pattern of making repeated false promises was an abuse of the court's sympathy and would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

The court has withdrawn the protection order previously granted to Rajpal and directed him to surrender before the concerned Jail Superintendent by February 4, 2026 (today). Furthermore, the amount previously deposited in court has been ordered to be given to the complainant company. The next hearing in this case will be on February 5, 2026, where a report on whether he has surrendered must be submitted.
