Banke District Establishes Three Temporary Polling Stations for Temporary Voters

Banke. The District Election Office has designated three polling stations for temporary voters. According to District Election Officer Tek Bahadur Shahi, temporary polling stations have been established at the Nauwasta Prison in Constituency No. 1, the Banke Prison in Constituency No. 2, and the Ramlila Ground for employees.

Employees working in organizations owned by the Federal and Provincial Governments, Local Levels, and the Government of Nepal and Provincial Government, Nepali Army personnel stationed in barracks, Nepal Police or Armed Police, inmates or prisoners in jails, and individuals residing in old-age homes are included in the temporary voter list.

There are 2,338 temporary voters in Banke. Temporary voters are only permitted to vote in the proportional representation election. A meeting chaired by Chief District Officer Dilkumar Tamang on Tuesday recommended 2,415 employees for the election.
