Vice President Yadav Stresses Need for Free and Fair Voting Environment in Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has stated that assurance must be given for every voter to cast their ballot in an independent, impartial, and fear-free environment during the upcoming House of Representatives election. He made this statement while addressing an event organized at Singha Durbar on Saturday.

He stated that ensuring every voter can vote in an independent, impartial, and fear-free environment during the House of Representatives election scheduled for the upcoming Falgun 21 is the main foundation of a federal democratic republic. He emphasized that the role of the media is crucial for this. He stated that the media must contribute to the flow of correct election-related information, enhancing voter awareness, and building a peaceful environment. He urged the media to firmly fulfill the responsibility of making journalism a pillar of democracy by representing inclusivity, equal opportunity, and everyone's voice.

He also called for dedication to nation-building by embracing truth, impartiality, and a pro-people perspective.
