Man Arrested in Banke for Alleged Rape of 17-Year-Old Girl

Banke. A man has been arrested in Banke on charges of forcibly raping a 17-year-old girl. Police took 30-year-old Angatram Ahir, who resides in H Gaun of Baijanath Rural Municipality-6, into custody on Thursday evening.

Police became active after a complaint was filed alleging that Ahir, originally from Khajura Rural Municipality-7, lured and forcibly raped the minor. The special team deployed from the Area Police Office, Kohalpur, took him into custody based on the complaint filed by the victim's side.

Police stated that further investigation proceedings have been initiated against the arrested Ahir under the case of forcible rape.
