Psychological Thriller 'The Blue Light' Premieres in Kathmandu

The film 'The Blue Light' has premiered. The film, which is set for release this Friday, premiered on Thursday evening.

 Filmmakers, film journalists, and others attended the premiere held at Civil Mall, Sundhara. At the premiere, most attendees reacted that 'The Blue Light' was different from the thriller stories made in Nepal.

Director Deepak Acharya (Kaku) of the film 'Paran' stated at the premiere that the overall package of the film was well-made. Actor Khagendra Lamichhane, actress Niti Shah, and others praised the technical aspects and narrative style of the film.

The film, directed by Baliram Chauhan, is made in the psychological thriller genre. The film stars Benisha Hamal, Arpan Thapa, Srishti Shrestha, Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Mahesh Tripathi, and Suraksha Itani in lead roles. Grishma Katuwal and Sahara Sharma are the child artists.

Actress Hamal, who is also the executive producer of the film, expressed happiness after the premiere. She said, 'Making a psychological thriller in Nepal was a big challenge and risk. But the reaction given by the audience and filmmakers present at today's premiere made us feel that our hard work has paid off. This film is not just acting for me, it is also a dream.'

Director Baliram Chauhan expressed gratitude that the artists brought the story he wanted to tell to life on screen. He said, 'We have made an honest effort. Given the level of praise received at the premiere, I am hopeful that the general audience will also love it in the theaters.'

'The Blue Light,' presented by Skyfall Pictures, has Bhola Nath Katuwal and Raman Gray as co-producers. Cinematographer Narendra Mainali and actress Benisha Hamal serve as executive producers.
