Two Nepali Films 'The Blue Light' and 'Aa Bata Aama' Release Simultaneously, Facing Competition

Kathmandu. Today, Friday, two Nepali films, 'The Blue Light' and 'Aa Bata Aama', have been released simultaneously in theaters across the country. Upholding the tradition of Friday releases, both films have started a commercial competition against each other nationwide.

However, securing theater space has presented some challenges for these two Nepali films. The foreign film 'Primate', also released today, along with films from previous weeks such as 'Paribartan' and 'Gobar Ganesh', still occupy several shows.

The films 'The Blue Light' and 'Aa Bata Aama' are based on different stories. Both production teams claim their film is superior.

'The Blue Light' has secured a satisfactory number of shows in major multiplexes nationwide, receiving approximately over 120 shows across the country. Directed by Baliram Chauhan, the film stars Arpan Thapa, Benisha Hamal, Srishti Shrestha, Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Mahesh Tripathi, and Suraksha Itani in lead roles. 'The Blue Light' is a psychological thriller. Presented by Skyfall Pictures, the film's co-producers are Bholanath Katuwal and Raman Gre. The executive producers are cinematographer Narendra Mainali and actress Benisha Hamal.

Meanwhile, 'Aa Bata Aama' is directed by Chandra Pant. The film features Indian famous actor Pradeep Rawat alongside Nepali artists Bipana Thapa, Paul Shah, Usha Upreti, Simran Pant, Saigrace Pokharel, Gajit Bisht, and Begam Nepali.

This film, based on the story of a mother, is produced under the presentation of Arya Entertainment. It is stated that the film's strong making and artist lineup will attract audience interest. The film has secured 153 shows nationwide. The film is invested in by Krishna Prasad Subedi, Omkar Pant, Prakashjung Kunwar, Dhruv Prasad Neupane, and Khitij Dhungana, with Karan Singh Rasaili serving as the executive producer.
