High-Level Organizing Committee Formed for NRNA World Conference Preparation

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has formed a high-level organizing committee to prepare for the 12th World Conference of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

The Ministry stated that the committee was formed under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Balananda Sharma for the preparation and management of the World Conference, which is scheduled to be held in Nepal in March, based on a decision at the ministerial level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dr. Badri KC, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, informed that the high-level committee was formed ensuring the participation of various stakeholders with the objective of successfully, effectively, and systematically concluding the conference.

Members of the committee include a member of the National Planning Commission, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, the Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board Nepal, the Joint Secretary of the Coordination Division for Labor Migration and Nepali Diaspora, the Joint Secretary of the Economic Diplomacy Division, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Dhakal, the President of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries, the President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the NRNA Presidents Dr. Badri KC and Mahesh Kumar Shrestha, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Non-Resident Nepali Association Rajendra Kumar Raut, among others. The Ministry has proposed conducting the election through an online system.
