Nepali Congress Adopts 'Responsibility Where Assigned' Policy for Upcoming By-elections

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has adopted the policy of 'responsibility where assigned, work there' for the House of Representatives by-elections scheduled for Falgun 21.

This policy was formulated by the Election Mobilization Committee, chaired by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma.

According to Coordinator Sharma, office bearers and members holding responsibilities at various levels of the Congress will be deployed to their respective areas of responsibility from Magh 21 to Falgun 21.

Coordinator Sharma stated that this is mentioned in the Election Mobilization Directive being prepared by the Election Mobilization Committee chaired by Vice President Sharma.

He added that the last 30 days of the election are covered by the policy 'responsibility where assigned, work there' in the directive.

Sharma's secretariat informed that discussions regarding the contents to be included in the directive for Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces concluded on Magh 13. Discussions with Gandaki Province are ongoing on Wednesday.

Sharma's secretariat further informed that current and former central office bearers and members representing the respective provinces in the central committee, chairpersons of district liaison committees, and well-wishers and youths of the Congress engaged in various professions and businesses in Kathmandu are participating in the discussions.
