Two Killed, Three Injured in Violent Attack on Family in Bara, Nepal

Rautahat. Amidst the rising election fervor across the country, two members of the same family were killed and three others seriously injured in a brutal attack this morning in Rahariyadih village of Parwanipur Rural Municipality-1, Bara district.

The attack was carried out by an unidentified group who entered the home around 3 AM and assaulted the family of local resident Jagarup Mahato Dhanuk with sharp weapons.

According to DSP Bijayraj Pandit, spokesperson for the Bara District Police Office, a 52-year-old woman and her 32-year-old son, Rameswar Mandal, died on the spot from the sharp weapon injuries. The three other injured family members are currently undergoing treatment at hospitals, including LS Neuro.

Spokesperson Pandit informed that the police team has reached the scene and initiated an investigation, intensifying the search for the involved individuals. Bara Police stated that the cause of the incident is yet to be determined and more details are awaited, assuring that the culprits will be brought to justice soon.
