Nepali Congress Issues Directive to District and Regional Committees Ahead of Upcoming Elections

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has issued a circular addressing the district presidents and regional working committees of all 77 districts, urging them to focus on the elections scheduled for Falgun 21. The circular requests a focus on the elections, setting aside discussions about victories and defeats from the special general convention.

The circular, jointly issued by General Secretaries Pradip Paudel and Gururaj Ghimire, expresses confidence that former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba's support will be crucial in advancing the Congress in the current political scenario.

The circular conveys the party's message that it has resolved to institutionalize its achievements according to the demands of the time, following a self-critical review of past shortcomings.

'At this difficult and sensitive juncture of changed political circumstances following the demonstrations by the Gen-Z generation on Bhadra 23 and 24, it is essential for all of us to move forward with high morale, unity, and responsible commitment. The time has come for all party bodies to skillfully and strategically discharge their responsibilities at their respective levels to create an overwhelming mandate in favor of the Nepali Congress in this election and ensure the victory of the party's candidates,' the circular stated.
