Motorcyclist Dies in Road Accident in Surkhet, Nepal

Surkhet. One motorcyclist has died in a road accident in Birendranagar, Surkhet. Police have identified the deceased as Padam Bahadur Bisi, approximately 42 years old, from Latikoili, Birendranagar Municipality-3.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Jung Budhathapa of the District Police Office Surkhet, the accident occurred on Monday morning when an EV vehicle with registration number Ko. Pra. 02001 Ja 0623, traveling from Surkhet towards Nepalgunj, collided head-on with a motorcycle bearing registration number Ve. 6 Pa 3321 coming from the opposite direction near Bhanghari in Birendranagar Municipality-11.

He stated that Bisi was rushed to the Provincial Hospital Kalagaun immediately after the accident, where he succumbed to his injuries around 10 AM during treatment. Budhapa said, "Bisi, who was the motorcycle driver, was seriously injured in the accident. He sustained serious injuries to his head, legs, and various parts of his body. He died during treatment."

DSP Thapa further informed that the driver of the EV vehicle, 44-year-old Balkrishna Rijal, a resident of Birendranagar Municipality-7, has been taken into custody.
