Rautahat District Sets Up 541 Polling Centers for Upcoming House of Representatives Election

Rautahat. A total of 541 polling centers have been designated in Rautahat district for the House of Representatives election scheduled for upcoming Falgun 21.

According to the District Election Office, Rautahat, 277 polling stations and 541 polling centers have been established across 157 wards under the four constituencies of the district.

District Election Officer Chhotelal Das stated that among these, 152 polling centers are categorized as highly sensitive, 100 as sensitive, and 27 polling stations as normal.

The district has a total of 436,611 voters. This includes 240,267 male voters, 196,343 female voters, and 1 voter registered as 'other'.

The District Election Office informed that a different number of polling centers has been determined for constituencies numbered 1, 2, 3, and 4, based on the specific needs of each constituency. The office also clarified that the voter rolls have been updated and the final lists published for all electoral constituencies.

District Election Officer Chhotelal Das mentioned that all necessary preparations are being expedited to ensure the upcoming House of Representatives election is conducted in a clean, fair, and peaceful manner. He urged all political parties to fully adhere to the code of conduct for the election taking place on Falgun 21.

Das warned that if the code of conduct is followed, the election can be conducted smoothly, and any party violating it will be brought under the ambit of legal action.

According to him, coordination with relevant agencies is underway regarding matters such as voter education and security arrangements.
