Three Officials Skip Voting in Madhesh Province National Assembly Elections

Janakpur. A provincial assembly member and two mayors did not cast their votes in the National Assembly member elections held on Sunday. According to the Election Officer's office, Provincial Assembly member Bimala Ansari did not vote. She is the wife of Rizwan Ansari, a former minister who is a candidate for the House of Representatives from Mahottari-3.

Similarly, Manoj Sah, the Mayor of Janakpur Metropolitan City, did not cast his vote. Mohan Pandey, the Mayor of Manra-Sisawa Municipality in Mahottari, was also found not to have voted.

The election office informed that out of 100 provincial assembly members in Madhesh, 99 voted, and out of 264 local level chiefs and deputy chiefs, 242 cast their ballots.
