Construction Progresses Rapidly on Sanga Underpass Linking Bhaktapur and Kavre

Kathmandu. Construction work on a two-lane underpass at Sanga, on the border area of Bhaktapur and Kavrepalanchok districts, is moving forward at a fast pace. The total length of the underpass, being built by the Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel Road Expansion Project under the Arniko Highway, is 1,110 meters.

The underpass includes approach roads measuring 190 meters towards Banepa and 900 meters towards Bhaktapur. It will have a height of 6 meters and a width of 10.5 meters. Additionally, a 20-meter bridge will be constructed inside the underpass, informed Sub-Engineer Gyanman Shrestha.

According to him, about 45 percent of the underpass construction work has been completed so far. Foundation and superstructure construction are currently underway. The upgradation work for the entire 15.8-kilometer long Suryabinayak-Dhulikhel road is being divided into two sections.
