CPN-UML Appoints New Election Mobilization Committee for KP Sharma Oli's Constituency in Jhapa-5

Jhapa. The CPN-UML has entrusted Politburo member Devendra Dahal with the responsibility of managing the election campaign in Jhapa-5, the constituency of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. A massive 501-member Election Mobilization Committee, led by Dahal as coordinator, was formed at a regional coordination committee meeting held today in Gauradaha.

Central Committee members Deepak Karki and Menuka Kafle have been appointed as co-coordinators of the committee. Coordinator Dahal is an experienced leader who has been actively serving as Oli's election commander since 2048 BS.

Co-coordinator Karki is a former Member of Parliament and former VDC Chairman of Gauradaha, while the other co-coordinator, Kafle, is the immediate past Chairperson of Kamal Rural Municipality. To streamline election mobilization, nine sub-committees and a 69-member secretariat have also been formed.

The mobilization committee includes Central Committee members residing within the constituency, Provincial Committee office bearers, District Committee members, and elected representatives from local levels. According to UML Central Committee member Deepak Karki, various sub-committees, including those for office operation, publicity, financial management, volunteer mobilization, and legal consultation, have already begun their work.

Party Regional Coordinator and Mobilization Committee Secretary Narayan Gautam stated that all leaders and cadres will reach out to voters' doorsteps to ensure Chairman Oli wins by a significant margin. The meeting also decided to complete the formation of campaign committees up to the ward and neighborhood levels by the upcoming date of Magh 12.
