UML Chairman Oli Directs Cadre to Engage Voters Directly in Jhapa

Jhapa. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has directed leaders in Jhapa-5 to visit every household and establish direct contact with voters. Addressing an expanded meeting of the regional coordination committee of Jhapa Constituency No. 5 on Friday, Chairman Oli instructed the entire UML party structure to reach out to the public's homes and create an environment where voters support the UML.

Chairman Oli stated that the development works carried out under the UML leadership are sufficient to win the election. During the meeting, attended by Central Committee members, Provincial Assembly members, District Committee office-bearers, and local level leaders, he directed them to plan publicity campaigns, dispel the misconceptions spread by the opposition, and engage vigorously in election campaigning.

'What was the situation like when I first contested elections in this constituency? What is it like now?' Chairman Oli said, 'Back then, there were only dusty roads. One had to go to the highway to see paved roads. Now, you can see paved roads reaching every village and neighborhood. This has been done by the UML leadership. The people understand this fact. But we must remind them once.'

Chairman Oli also claimed that the events of Bhadra 23 and 24 were orchestrated with the intention of destroying the entire nation. He stated that while the movement started by the youth and the demands they raised were not illegitimate, the subsequent infiltration has devastated the country.

'They are trying to hold the UML responsible by citing those incidents,' Chairman Oli said. 'We must counter such baseless allegations. For this, let the entire party structure reach every home of the people. Let's increase contact with every voter.'
