Rastriya Prajatantra Party to Boycott Upcoming National Assembly Elections

Kathmandu. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has announced it will not participate in the National Assembly elections scheduled for Magh 11. RPP Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha stated that the party's entire focus remains on the House of Representatives elections, which is why they will abstain from the National Assembly polls.

“RPP will not participate in the National Assembly election on Magh 11,” Spokesperson Shrestha said. “We do not have any candidates in this election, and since our complete attention is on the House of Representatives, we have concluded not to be distracted by the National Assembly.”

Voters for the National Assembly consist of members of the Provincial Assemblies and local level mayors/deputy mayors. The RPP currently has 28 provincial assembly members, along with several local level mayors and deputy mayors.
