All sides' cooperation vital for election: Vice President Yadav

Kathmandu, Jan 6: Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has underlined the need of all sides' cooperation in order to hold the March 5 House of Representatives (HoR) election in a peaceful and fear-free atmosphere.

Tolerance and harmony help build atmosphere for free and fair election, the Vice President reminded while giving a message on Tuesday. He added the major national mandate before the country at present is election. "So, I urge all stakeholders concerned to play their part in building peace, restraint and harmony. I urge all citizens to cooperate for ensuring free and fair election atmosphere.

The misunderstanding surfaced between ethnic communities in some places of the country of late in a way to challenge social harmony draw seriousness of all to resolve the problems, Vice President reminded, underscoring the urgency of realizing the diversity, secularism and inclusion enshrined by the constitution. "Diversity is our strength; we belonging to different communities, sects and society are members of national family," he said, requesting all to keep intact fraternity and coexistence.

Other issues the Vice President stressed in his message are dialogue, reconciliation, fraternity, and cooperation. It is a common responsibility of all of us to build a peaceful, unified and inclusive Nepal, according to him.
