Three dignitaries feted

Kathmandu, Nov 27: Three dignitaries have been felicitated at a programme organized in the federal capital on Thursday.

Poet Dr Nabaraj Lamsal, actor Deepak Raj Giri and banker Manoj Gyawali were feted at the programme organized by the Bridge Water Education Foundation in Nepal Academy. They were honoured in recognition of their contribution to the respective sectors- literature, film and banking.

Former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dr Jagdish Chandra Pokhrel, offered shawls to the dignitaries and observed that the honour to the special personalities would give impetus to their energy and works.

Foundation's Chairman Deepak Pande said the honoured personalities were inspirational figures. "The Foundation is proud to have got the opportunity to felicitate such persons," he added.

Principal at the Foundation, Krishna Paudel, shared that it had been a culture of Bridge Water to honour the persons who have played significant roles in various fields, thereby advancing society and country.
