Nepal should learn from China's development: Speaker Ghimire
Kathmandu, Nov 21: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has said that Nepal should learn from China’s political, economic and social development achievements.
Addressing a programme organised on Friday to launch the book 'Chiniya Dristikon', which literally means Chinese Perspective, written by Chetnath Acahrya, he praised China’s political stability and its clear development policies. He stressed the need for Nepal to further explore partnership opportunities with China to accelerate its development pace. According to him, political instability could push the country toward crisis.
Former Chief Secretary and Nepal’s former ambassador to China, Leelamani Poudyal, Prof. Dr. Yubaraj Sangraula, and Zhang Yue (Barsha, her Nepali name) from China commented on the book. Poudyal described it as a documentation of China’s development policies, while Prof Dr. Sangraula highlighted the urgency for Nepal to cooperate with China for poverty alleviation. Zhang Yue said that ChinaNepal relations have been beautiful throughout history with a bright future ahead.
According to the author, China’s policy perspectives have drawn global attention and concern, and Nepal should analyse them more deeply.
