March elections: EC registers NCP

The Election Commission (EC) has registered the newly formed Nepali Communist Party (NCP) ahead of the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 2026. A team of the party including leader Rajendra Pandey reached the EC office for party registration. Ten left parties, including the CPN (Maoist Centre) and CPN (Unified Socialist) recently merged to form the NCP. The EC has opened party registration from November 17-26.
