March polls: over 500,000 new voters register

The Election Commission (EC) has registered a total of 527,637 new voters since the announcement of the House of Representative election, scheduled for March 2, 2026. According to EC, 225,575 voters registered through the national ID card while 302,062 through biometrics. The registration remains open until November 21. Registration can be done online by submitting a national ID card number.
