Tourism industry's support vital to minimize trade deficit: former PM Khanal
Biratnagar – Former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) senior leader, Jhalanath Khanal, on Saturday stressed on need for support from the tourism industry in minimizing trade deficit with India.
Inaugurating the four-star Big Hotel in Biratnagar, Khanal said there won't be shortages of tourists here with adequate publicity of mountainous trek routes and religious tourism in neighbouring India.
The newly introduced six-storey hotel was built at a cost of Rs 300 million. Hotel's Director Birendra Neupane said the hotel was built with an aim to facilitate tourists' stay.
