Ropeway Cable Snaps in Gujarat, Six Killed
A tragic accident occurred in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat, India, on Saturday afternoon around 3 o'clock. A cable on a ropeway broke, resulting in the deaths of six people. The incident took place on the Pavagadh pilgrimage route.
Details of the Accident
According to officials, the accident involved a lift that was carrying construction materials, not passengers. Panchmahal's Residential Additional Collector, J.J. Patel, confirmed that the cable of this goods lift snapped, causing the cabin to fall. The wreckage landed in a lake below. Following the accident, the passenger ropeway service has also been shut down until further notice to ensure safety.
