Heavy Flooding Submerges Amitabh Bachchan's Bungalow

Heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding in Mumbai, leading authorities to issue a red alert. Among the many properties affected, the bungalow of famous Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has been submerged in water.

Viral Video Shows Extent of Flooding

A video has been shared online showing the severe conditions. The person who filmed the video claims that after the water entered, Amitabh Bachchan himself was seen using a squeegee to help clean the flooded area. The flooding has impacted his bungalow named Prateeksha, which is located in the upscale Juhu area.

Widespread Damage and Access Issues

The streets around the bungalow are filled with knee-deep water, which has also entered Bachchan's home. The video also shows the actor's other bungalow, named Jalsa, which has been fully affected by the rains. The surrounding roads are completely blocked with no drainage for the water to escape. When the person filming approached the gate of the Jalsa bungalow, a security guard immediately closed it.

Background on Bachchan's Properties

The Bollywood superstar currently lives in Jalsa with his family. This bungalow is a two-story building spread across ten thousand square feet. He previously lived in Prateeksha, which is also the location from where his son Abhishek's wedding to Aishwarya Rai took place. In total, Amitabh Bachchan owns five properties in Mumbai.

Impact on Upcoming Television Show

The heavy rains have also affected his professional schedule. The popular reality TV show Bigg Boss, which he hosts, is set to premiere on August 24th. A media tour of the Bigg Boss house was planned before the premiere, but this event has been canceled due to the ongoing bad weather and flooding.
