Vishwa Prakash Sharma Advises Rastriya Swatantra Party to Free Itself from Three 'A's
Nepali Congress General Secretary and House of Representatives member Vishwa Prakash Sharma has suggested that the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) should free itself from three 'A's. Speaking during a special time in Wednesday's House of Representatives session, Sharma urged RSP to move away from what he described as irrational stances, impulsive behavior, and chaotic approaches.
Call for Rational and Constructive Politics
Sharma emphasized that RSP should abandon its "Atarkik Adan" (irrational stances), "Aaveg" (impulsive actions), and "Arajak Shaili" (chaotic style) to adopt a more constructive political approach. His remarks came as he presented data on foreign visits during the tenure of RSP President Rabi Lamichhane as Home Minister.
Controversy Over Foreign Visits
Sharma highlighted statistics showing that the highest number of Nepalis went abroad on visit visas during Lamichhane's term as Home Minister. Comparing the records of five recent home ministers over 150 days, Sharma pointed out that Lamichhane's tenure saw the most significant outflow of people on visit visas.
He questioned RSP's credibility, asking, "Are you trying to say that we sold people on visit visas when your own party president was Home Minister? I’m not saying this—the data speaks for itself."
Sharma's comments reflect ongoing political tensions and debates over governance and accountability in Nepal's parliament.
