Jitu Nepal Brings Digital 'Gai Jatra' Comedy with 'Worthless Minister's Budget Speech'
Kathmandu – Popular comedian and actor Jitu Nepal has released a satirical comedy series titled "Mundre’s Satirical Content 2082", targeting this year’s Gai Jatra festival. The series, divided into four parts, will feature humorous takes on various social and political issues. The first episode, "Gai Jatra Budget Speech – Worthless Minister’s Budget Speech", was released on Tuesday.
Satire on Parliament and Ministers
The comedy sketch mocks the budget speeches and parliamentary debates of ministers, highlighting the absurdities and inefficiencies in political discussions. Using exaggerated dialogues between the Speaker of the House and ministers, Nepal humorously critiques the functioning of Nepal’s political system.
Four-Part Comedy Series
Nepal plans to release all four parts of the series at four-day intervals. He hinted that upcoming episodes will feature retired politicians, political conspiracies, and satirical takes on governance issues. "This time, even politicians who claim to retire from politics will appear in a funny light," Nepal said.
Preserving Gai Jatra’s Satirical Tradition
Though Nepal has stepped back from live stage performances, he continues to keep the satirical spirit of Gai Jatra alive through digital content. "Gai Jatra is a festival of humor and satire, and I want to preserve its essence," he explained. His comedy sketches aim to entertain while subtly critiquing social and political norms.
Entertainment with a Purpose
Nepal added that his goal is to document his creative work while giving audiences something to laugh about. "If people enjoy it and it leaves a record of my work, then the effort is worth it," he said. The series is expected to gain traction as Gai Jatra approaches, blending tradition with modern digital comedy.
The release has already sparked discussions, with viewers appreciating Nepal’s sharp wit and timely political commentary. More episodes will follow in the coming days, keeping the festive satire alive.
