15-year-old electrocuted in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, March 12 — A teenage boy died from electric shock in Kathmandu.
The incident took place on Tuesday night when 15-year-old Suman Khadka, a permanent resident of Manthali Municipality-7, Ramechhap, and currently living in Mulpani, Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-7, Kathmandu, was electrocuted.
According to local reports, while unloading sand on the road from Mulpani to Amarsingh Thapa Chowk, the wire from an electric pole short-circuited and caused an electric shock.
Khadka, the tipper's helper, sustained serious injuries.
He died on the way to Shankharapur Hospital in Narayantar when being transported for treatment.
The police have detained the tipper driver and are conducting an investigation into the incident.
