Public rally shows support for monarchy: RPP-N

Kathmandu, March 10 — The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal has concluded that the public has endorsed and embraced the call made by former King Gyanendra Shah for support on the occasion of Democracy Day on Falgun 7 (February 19).
The conclusion was drawn during a meeting of the party's central working committee, which was chaired by party head Kamal Thapa on Monday.
According to a statement issued by the party’s General Secretary Rajaram Bartaula, the large-scale public demonstration in Kathmandu on Falgun 25 (March 10) served as a clear and vibrant example of this public approval.
"The demonstration, described as historic, has signaled a potential restoration of the Hindu state and monarchy in Nepal in the near future," reads the statement.
